We have carefully selected the location and time of year of these Indonesia surf coaching trips to offer the best chance of user-friendly surf, with minimal crowds. With sand bottomed a-frames along its length, Mandiri beach is the ultimate environment for working on your tube-riding skills without the worry of reef below. If the beach isn’t working or we fancy a change, there’s plenty of opportunity to work on your rail game at one of the many incredible waves up and down the coast. With world-class surf coaching and video analysis each day, there really is no better environment to push your surfing and comfort level.

The incredible Mandiri Beach Club will be our home away from home. With newly appointed air-conditioned rooms, a swimming pool looking straight out over the surf, concrete skate park and 3 incredible meals each day, we couldn’t imagine a better base camp for our Indonesia surf coaching clinic. YOUR HOME FOR THE TRIP…

Welcome to The Mandiri Beach Club. Sat directly in front of one of the best beach breaks in Indonesia and with access to a whole host of quality reef and point breaks in the area, this is the ultimate base for our Indonesia Surf Coaching experience.

This stunning purpose-built resort boasts 6 beautiful bungalows, each with air conditioning and en-suite bathroom. There’s also a beautiful swimming pool, super-fun concrete skate park and loads of space to hang out and watch the surf.

The resort can host 14 surfers, but we’re limiting these trips to just 9 guests for the best coaching experience and maximum comfort.

Despite the obvious benefits of its location, space and comfort, there are a couple of other reasons why we are particularly stoked to go to South Sumatra…

Firstly, sand-bottomed barrels are not all that common in Indonesia. And if Mandiri beach is firing, we won’t have to go anywhere! For those of you looking to make your first barrel, or just get more comfortable pulling in, doing it over sand is definitely more confidence inspiring than over reef.

Secondly, if Mandiri isn’t working or is too big, there are a handful of quality reefs and points just a short drive away. There will be 3 mini-vans on standby each day, allowing us to score the best possible waves. Whilst the focus of this trip will be tube time, if conditions don’t allow for it, then rest assured that there will be plenty of opportunity to work on your rail game!
