Wave type: The Southern Atolls are truly one of the last frontiers in surfing and offer a huge variety of waves in a small area – from the playful A-frames of Two-Ways, to the wide open barrels of Beacons.

With an even mix of lefts and rights depending on the conditions, the waves in the Southern Atolls are super exposed to swell and wind, and therefore at their best during the transitional months of February to April.

Our Southern Atolls trips are all about hunting for world-class waves and empty lineups in remote, tropical paradise – the perfect environment for progressing your surfing. We will be taking a short domestic flight down to the Southern Atolls, which is included in your package along with surfboard carriage (7ft length limit). With world-class surf coaching and video analysis every day, we will address your limiting factors and correct your technique, all whilst you score some of the most perfect waves on earth.

On board it gets even better, with Assidha providing the perfect base for your surfing adventure. With comfortable air-conditioned cabins, and 3 incredible chef-prepared meals each day, your body will be rested and fueled for as much surfing as you can handle.

YOUR FLOATING HOME…

Assidha is one of our favourite surf charters in the Maldives and provides fantastic value whilst still offering all of the comforts for an epic surf trip.

Assidha is able to comfortably accommodate 14 guests across 7 air-conditioned and en-suite cabins. However, for maximum comfort and the highest standard of coaching, these trips are capped at a maximum of just 8 surfers. Nobody likes an insta-crowd.

One of the best things about this boat, and something that can have a real impact on your trip, is the food and the crew. The crew are one of the best we have ever had the pleasure of working with, and 3 incredibly delicious and nutritious meals each day will keep you full and well-fueled for long days in the water. There really is nothing better than coming in from a long dawny session to find a mouth-watering buffet breakfast waiting for you.

Finally, Assidha offers plenty of space for relaxing, including an indoor lounge and rooftop sundeck, complete with shaded surfboard racks. It’s also accompanied by a dinghy tender, allowing you unlimited access to the surf throughout your trip. No scampering over sharp reef and sketchy duck-dives required – simply jump in the dinghy and get dropped off in the line-up. Then when you’re done, wave your board in the air and the dinghy will come and pick you up from the channel. Dreamy.
